Mannen som elsket Yngve (The Man Who Loved Yngve) by the young Norwegian author Tore Renberg is one of my absolute favorite novels. It’s a very convincing and moving love story set in Norway in the eighties.

The novel has now become a film. I haven’t seen it yet, but this clip (in Norwegian with English subtitles) captures the feeling of the book really well. I find it totally heartbreaking.

The series of teenage boys who try out their fresh, newly sprouted bodies continues. Note how his mother (?) enters and watches in awe what she has created. This is so beautiful.

You might remember him from Destroyer 04.

This is one of the young sportsmen from Omsk that featured in Destroyer 04. Don’t comment - just sit back in awe.

I have to admit I’m no fan of the youtube phenomenon where male friends lipsync to hits for kids and try to look gay. But I like this one. Maybe because they don’t lipsync. Or because I’m in love with one of the guys - won’t say who!

Note that he’s not that good at it yet - that’s what makes this clip a little embarrassing. But the freshness is also the beauty of it all. He will soon be punching you in your face!

This video is hilarious. Like everyone else, I laughed at the stupid officer at first. After a while though, I realized that, hey, he’s got style! He knows how to - excel! Yeah! The show must go on! Love it. The kids are gonna learn the same I suppose. After all, don’t we expect more from 14-yearolds than that they’re gonna call their mum?
