Destroyer 08 featured a review of the latest issue of Dik Fagazine, a fab Polish art/gay magazine. I especially liked the snapshots from everyday life in Bukarest, as well as the beautiful photos from a Romanian mud bath.

Dear readers, all orders have now shipped – half of them on February 10th as promised, the other half yesterday (delayed one day).
The printing was flawless this time, and the gold print is all I could ask for – I’m filled with happiness each time I’m dazzled by it! It’s hard to make it justice in pictures, so here’s a movie I shot at the printing plant – enjoy!

tomorrow is the day! That’s when I’m going to the printing plant to pick up the new issue of Destroyer. Most orders will ship the same day, some the next – it depends on how long it takes at the printing plant.
You see, the magazine is printed, but not cut yet. I told them to wait for me, since I want to participate in the process to make sure it’s cut perfectly, which is not always the case (issue 3 and 7 were slightly miscut). It’s hard to be a perfectionist.
So… The envelopes are ready to be licked, the t-shirt winners are allotted, the destroymobile is waiting in the garage for another important assignment and I celebrate with a glass of red wine and some Gili & Galit. (He was only 12 and I was so envious of him, having three women around him like that!)

This is sort of off topic, but not entirely. I like excellence, whatever form it takes. And so, I must recommend my fellow music lovers in Rotterdam to go and see Wevie Stonder at Worm tonight - it’s gonna be wild!

Believe it or not, but I’m already outlining Destroyer 09. Since it will be published around May, hopefully, it will mark the 3 years anniversary of Destroyer - the premier issue was published in May 2006.
To celebrate, I want to publish your thoughts on Destroyer in the next issue. Let me know what you think was best and worst over the years. Tell me how you think the magazine has evolved and what’s in it for you. Maybe you have some real-life encounter involving Destroyer to share, or … well, I don’t know - surprise me!
E-mail your feedback to editor@destroyermag.com with the word “feedback” in the subject line. Also let me know if you want to sign your letter with a pseudonym.
A selection of letters will be published in D9, and maybe in subsequent issues too. If your letter gets published, you will get the magazine for free, so include a shipping address if you want that.
